Saboti MP Caleb Amisi to Hold High-Level Governance Talks in Europe Across Germany, Austria and Czech Republic

Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi is set to depart for Europe this evening for a series of high-level engagements in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic, focused on governance, democracy, youth leadership, and economic transformation.

In a statement shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account and Facebook page, the legislator confirmed that the visit will involve meetings with senior officials, policymakers, and governance experts from various institutions.
“Tonight, I will depart for Europe for a series of high-level engagements in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic,” the post read.
During the trip, Hon. Amisi is expected to engage Dr. Stefan Friedrich, Head of Department for Sub-Saharan Africa at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, and Nils Wormer, Deputy Head of Division for European and International Cooperation at the same institution.
He will also hold discussions with Kenya’s Ambassador to Germany, Stella Mokaya Orina, alongside Christine Toetzke, Director General for Bilateral Cooperation covering Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Further engagements are planned with experts from the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), including Dr. Gerrit Kurtz and Dr. Karoline Eickhoff, as well as Serap Güler, Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office.
“The engagements will include meetings with Dr. Stefan Friedrich, Head of the Department for Sub-Saharan Africa at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung; H.E. Stella Mokaya Orina, Kenya’s Ambassador to Germany; Nils Wormer, Deputy Head of Division for European and International Cooperation at KAS; Christine Toetzke, Director General for Bilateral Cooperation covering Africa, Asia, and Latin America; Dr. Gerrit Kurtz and Dr. Karoline Eickhoff of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP); and Serap Güler, Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office,” the post read.
According to the statement, the discussions will center on strengthening governance systems, expanding democratic participation, supporting youth leadership, and enhancing strategies for economic transformation. The meetings will also explore Africa’s evolving role in global affairs and the deepening of Africa–Europe cooperation.
“I look forward to meaningful exchanges on governance, democracy, youth leadership, economic transformation, and the evolving role of Africa in shaping global affairs,” he stated.
Hon. Amisi emphasized the importance of international partnerships in addressing governance and development challenges, noting that sustained reforms and renewed leadership focus are key to Kenya’s long-term progress.
